Working with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) | THIS AS LIFE

Many people living with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) are concerned about how the disease will affect their ability to work. Have you felt this way? While a small percentage of those living with the disease do eventually leave the workforce, for the majority of those diagnosed, working with a rheumatologist on a proper disease management plan can make regular employment possible.

In this episode of This AS Life Live!, Dan meets real estate agent Esther Hickman and novelist Phil Donlay, who share their experiences related to living and working with AS. Although Esther and Phil both switched jobs due to the disease, they still found happiness and success with their careers. Watch the video below to hear their stories.
